Unveiling. June 23rd


The students completed the finishing touches and presented their scultpure to the WVU community today!  It was a great opportunity to relax and appreciate all of their hard work during the past month.

Construction & Location. June 17th


The group has secured a fantastic location for their piece!  The sculpture will reside on the Evansdale campus by the library.  This is the perfect location for this piece which will combine chemistry, engineering, art, and philosophy.

A soft unveiling will occur on the Creative Arts Center grounds on Thursday at 4pm!

Concept and Design. June 9th


It's a big day for the team!  After discussing and deliberating over many ideas, the group has finally settled on a concept and design!

Shop Training. June 6th


Today the group was trained on all of the equipment in the sculpture labs wood  and metal shops.  We are grateful for access to these facilities for the duration of our program!

Meeting with the Exhibit Design Team at the Carnegie Science Center. June 2nd


Our group traveled to Pittsburgh to visit the Carnegie Science Center.  The exhibit design team was generous enough to meet with us to share their expertise, show us their prototypes, and the inner workings of current museum exhibits.

Brainstorming. June 1st


The team works together to identify concepts for their science-art installation.

Teambuilding at the WVU Adventure Challlenge Course. May 31st


The group started the program with a trip to the WVU Adventure Challenge Coruse to build our communication and cooperation skills needed for the task at hand.
